| History of the Nott Company
About 1940, Nott Company shifted its business focus to include the distribution of industrial rubber products, power transmission products, material handling equipment and fire equipment. Today's Industrial Division continues to fabricate and distribute belting along with other power transmission products. Remnants of the old fire equipment distribution business can still be found in offices throughout the company -- aged copper fire extinguishers transformed into lamps!
Another division was established in 1965, the Fluid Power Division. This growing business is a custom stocking distributor of components, assemblies and finished products and offers integrated power solutions to the needs of OEM and end user accounts.
From its modest beginnings, Nott Company today is organized into the three divisions named above and employs approximately 200 people in six locations. We are an ESOP company, confident that our dedication to growth and change will carry us successfully into this new millenium.
