Coated Fiberglass

Nott company has fabricated and distributed coated fiberglass and other
Furon products throughout the upper Midwest since the 1960's.  We offer an
extensive range of products with PTFE and Silicone Rubber coatings on a
wide variety of fiberglass and other woven fabric materials.  Pressure
sensitive adhesive backings are also available on most materials.

PTFE (TEFLON) COATED FIBERGLASS

our inventory.

High Performance Grade:

These products are constructed of extra heavy PTFE coating on glass
fabric.  Premium Grade has an extremely slick, non-porous surface.  The
heavier coating provides a higher dielectric strength and a smoother
surface.  Typical applications include conveyor belts, specialized heat
sealing, motor and generator insulation, armatures, field coil wrapping,
phase separators, slot lines, wrapping and splicing cables, and conductors.
It is also ideal for gaskets, seals, and bearing liners.

Primary (Standard) Grade:

These products are constructed of a standard PTFE coating on glass fabric.
Standard Grade contains an optimum balance of substrate weave, strength,
finish, and coating weight.  Typical applications include fabricated parts for
heat sealing, packing machines and hand wrap stations, release sheets for
laminating presses, plates and curing (non-porous) materials.  Additional
applications include belting, gaskets, protective curtains, aprons and
clothing.

Industrial (Mechanical) Grade:

These products are constructed of a thin PTFE coating on glass fabric.
Mechanical Grade's construction provides cost effective performance for
mechanical applications.  Typical uses include belting and conveying,
corrosion resistant protective curtains, aprons, and work surface coverings.

SILICONE COATED FIBERGLASS

Three grades of Silicone coated fiberglass are maintained in our inventory.

Primary Grade:

These silicone rubber coated fabrics have the best electrical properties
along with the greatest pliability.  Use temperature of this grade ranges from
-85F through +500F.  The cross-linked silicone, available on one or two
sides, is reinforced with a fiberglass carrier.  Primary Grade is designed with
a soft compressible surface.  Typical applications include diaphragms,
electrical and thermal insulation, gaskets, conveyor belts, shrink tunnel
curtains, and release or separator plastics.

Thermal Grade:

Thermal Grade incorporates special fillers in order to gain thermal
conductivity.  Its fiberglass reinforcement, while supporting the silicone
rubber impregnation, provides dimensional stability and cut-through
resistance.  Use temperature for this grade ranges from -85F through +455F.
These fabrics may be die cut into specific sizes and for ease of application
adhesive can be laminated onto one side.  Applications include heat sink
gaskets, heat transfer cushioning, and cost effective replacements for mica and
thermal grease insulator pads.

Calender Coated Grade:

This grade of Calender Coated reinforced solid silicone rubber is designed
to offer a superior smooth surface.  Calender coated products provide
increased tensile strength allowing for use in extremely high pressure (up to
1000 PSI) and high temperature (up to +650F).  This long-life, reversion
(i.e. softening, outgassing) resistant grade is excellent for press pads in
extreme temperature and pressure lamination applications, and for other
applications involving the tough combination of high load confinement at
high temperatures.
