SUPPLY CHAIN
Molding Technician
Fargo, ND
We have an opening for a skilled Molding Technician to support our Supply Chain division located in Fargo, ND.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mold maintenance and repair as needed, including welding, grinding, and repair of inserts to keep molds in good working order to product high quality parts
- Perform TBC (torch, brush, and clamp) repair on molds at the machines as needed
- Document the required information to track mold repairs
- Review current condition and life of molds and make recommendations for improvement
- Define and provide feedback on mold specification for projects as part of the project team
- Define and adhere to preventative maintenance schedule, including performing preventive maintenance on molding machines
- Transport molds to and from the molding machines to the maintenance area
- Monitor inventory accuracy for maintenance program and ensure needed parts are available
- Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-year technical degree in Maintenance, Tooling, or related field preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience with mold making and repair. Could include rotational, injection, blow, insert or foam molding
- Experience with rotational molding equipment highly desired
- Experience with mill/lathe highly desired
Skills:
- Understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) highly preferred
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as hand truck, forklift
- Ability to use variety of hand tools
- Ability to mig and tig weld
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and internet
Working Hours & Conditions: Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm in a manufacturing shop floor environment (full time, in person – overtime may be required to support business needs)
Compensation:
- Base salary range $35-38/hour
- Profit participation payout each quarter based on company profitability
- Annual company contribution to your ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) retirement account
