On the podcast Dave expands on the efficiency and longevity of incorporating hydro-electric systems into mobile applications as well as the key requirements customers are looking for when it comes to turf care equipment.

Learn from Dave as he discusses system component options and integration. Using the example of a commercial sprayer for golf courses, Dave illustrates the application development as well as details how Nott Co. meets the requirements and needs of the project.

Considering current environmental regulations such as California’s AB 1436 duty cycles, charging needs, and the TCO requirements, Dave shares how Nott Co. works to develop an electro-hydraulic system adapted to the end-users’ needs. He discusses sizing the battery for appropriate power, use of can bus controllers and inverters to ensure efficient control, and how to improve the efficiency of hydraulic auxiliary, product and propel pumps and motors used within the system.

In looking to the future, Dave also discusses why fluid power will stand the test of time in mobile applications as Nott Company continues to grow our capabilities with fuller hydraulic, hybrid, and full electric systems.
