Customer Service Representative


Our company is currently looking for a superior Customer Service Representative to work in our Industrial Engineered Solutions division located at our Bettendorf, IA facility. We are looking for a candidate that has an emphasis on technical product support to our internal and external customers.


  • Provide superior customer service to assigned OEM and non-OEM customers while working as a team to achieve departmental, divisional and company goals and initiatives.
  • Direct customer service responsibilities with assigned customer accounts and are the point of contact for the customer.
  • Process incoming orders in a timely manner from receipt of order through verifying product availability, source and purchase special product, pricing, terms, credit status, order entry and release. Communicate customer’s expectations and follow order through to fulfillment.
  • Provide customers with quotations including complex manufacturing / assembly quotations in coordination with Outside Sales team.
  • In conjunction with the Outside Sales team, drive timely implementation of both vendor and market driven price increases. Maintain applicable price files and supporting documentation.
  • In conjunction with the Outside Sales team, maximize profit opportunities by analyzing incoming orders, backlog, and market trends to identify opportunities for profit optimization. Implement actions to address identified opportunities.
  • Assist customers and Outside Sales with trouble shooting product suggestions and technical information on complex or special product requests.
  • Evaluate and resolve customer problems including product returns; identify and recommend process and product improvements.
  • Actively monitor backorders and proactively communicate changes with customers.
  • Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience: Minimum 5 years customer service experience; and subject matter expert in at least one industrial product line (ex. power transmission, hose, and belting product lines).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong customer service, technical skills, effective written and oral communication skills, ability to define and resolve problems, strong PC skills. Data Analysis. Excel Spreadsheets.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (full time) (Overtime may be required to support business needs)
